On September 24, LG Energy Solution was selected as the company with the highest battery quality standards in the Chinese market at the China Automobile Product Quality Research (AQR) awards ceremony. This recognition shows how LG Energy Solution’s exceptional quality and high level of customer satisfaction are acknowledged in China. The awards ceremony, held annually since 2019, is sponsored by local automotive platform Chezhiwang, which collects and shares automotive information, research data and complaints, and Automotive Research Consulting Beijing, a think tank set up in 2017 to aid the Chinese automotive industry’s development.
This year’s awards evaluated 128 EV models from 51 brands, conducting surveys among end consumers to identify the companies that deliver the most outstanding quality to customers in various categories including batteries, powertrains, pure electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and autonomous vehicles (AV).
During the selection process, LG Energy Solution emerged as the standout candidate among 18 battery system suppliers, including CATL, Everview Lithium Energy, and UFO Battery. This quality-focused award is presented to companies that have effectively addressed quality issues and user complaints identified through surveys, demonstrating a commitment to producing high-quality products that meet real customer needs.
