LG Energy Solution held its 2026 Partners Day on January 26, gathering local and global partners to strengthen collaboration and align on strategies for future growth. The event provided a platform to deepen mutual trust, communicate goals and strategies, and jointly prepare for structural changes shaping the global battery industry.
Hosted in Yeouido, Seoul, the event welcomed representatives from 82 partner companies across battery materials, components, and equipment, including 42 global partners. The turnout reflected LG Energy Solution’s focus on partnership-driven growth, with key executives in attendance including CEO David Kim, CSO (Chief Strategy Officer) Chang Beom Kang, CTO (Chief Technology Officer) Je Young Kim, CQO (Chief Quality Officer) Jae Han Jung, and Kang Yeol Lee, Procurement Center Leader.

In his opening comments, CEO David Kim thanked partner companies for their support during a challenging year, emphasizing that continued collaboration across the partner network was vital to delivering strong results. He highlighted the strong performance of LG Energy Solution’s ESS business over the past year, reflecting on the transition occurring in the broader battery industry.
“We completed multiple large-scale ESS project contracts and recorded significant revenue growth, which would not have been possible without active cooperation and technical support from our partners,” Kim said. “With strong trust and collaboration, we will work together to turn this pivotal moment in the industry into an opportunity for greater growth.”
Looking ahead, Kim outlined the company’s organizational priorities, with an aim of converting earlier initiatives into tangible results by rebalancing the portfolio and improving operational efficiency. Along with its annual business strategy, LG Energy Solution executives shared strategic plans for the company, with presentations on Global Policy and Regulatory Changes, Global Market Outlook and Business Strategy, R&D Roadmap, Quality Management Strategy and Procurement Strategy.

“This year, we will focus on turning our previous efforts into concrete outcomes,” Kim said. “To seize opportunities in the rapidly growing ESS market, we will expand product diversity and reinforce supply stability, while ensuring profitability and risk management in the EV sector to firmly secure our mid- to long-term product competitiveness.”
The company underscored that the global battery market is entering a value shift, with demand moving beyond EVs into applications such as energy storage systems. Customer experience innovation will become even more crucial, backed by uncompromising quality standards and advanced technological capabilities.

LG Energy Solution emphasized the need to view the entire value chain, from materials to finished products, as an integrated ecosystem, with close partner collaboration essential for building agile response systems amid complex global regulatory requirements. In line with these efforts, the company plans to secure a world-class supply chain by expanding its global R&D framework, boosting cost competitiveness, and advancing quality management processes.
The event also included LG Energy Solution’s Supplier Awards, which recognize partners that made outstanding contributions over the past year. The awards acknowledged companies that supported a resilient supply chain, strengthened the business, and demonstrated excellence through mutually beneficial cooperation.

Through 2026 Partners Day, LG Energy Solution reaffirmed its commitment to building a healthy industrial ecosystem through fair trade compliance initiatives and partnership programs. With sustainable growth as a key priority, the company pledged to deepen long-term trust with partners while enhancing resilience and competitiveness across the global battery value chain.
