As an advocate for better lives and brighter futures for all, LG Energy Solution Michigan (LGES Michigan) recently joined hands with Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity to change lives close to home.

LGES Michigan has been a long-time supporter of providing more financial help for low-income families, and became a Premiere Sponsor of Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity’s Vista Green Project. This community partnership aligns with the company’s vision to solve social issues for future generations to come.

Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity is a Christian organization that helps low-income families unable to buy stable housing in Michigan’s Ottawa and Allegan counties. Its latest project, the Vista Green Development, will construct 42 homes within one neighborhood.

Through sponsorship, LGES Michigan aims to make the dream of owning a home a reality. And to make sure this happens, many LGES Michigan employees look forward to helping build the residences to a high standard so that those less fortunate can enjoy their brand-new homes to the fullest.

By building strong relationships among residents who share similar experiences, the Vista Green Project sets out to create a unique neighborhood environment that promotes the duty to help one another.

The 42 beautiful homes will be just three miles from the LGES Michigan facility, which makes this especially meaningful as the project is not just about helping fund the work, but about welcoming new neighbors. LGES Michigan is looking forward to welcoming the families to the thriving community, and is excited to see what life has to hold for the new residents of Vista Greens.

Don Wilkinson, Executive Director of Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity, emphasized how difficult it would have been to carry out this project without the help of LGES Michigan. LGES Michigan was a Premiere Sponsor of the fundraising event which took place in October 2022, recognizing the accomplishments made over the year for affordable housing. Its efforts to contribute to the local community by introducing more meaningful projects were introduced on social media with over 3,000 followers on Instagram and Facebook.

LGES Michigan will have its logo placed on a sign along with other major sponsors, outside the neighborhood’s build site of 42 homes for up to three years.

“One of the goals of LG Energy Solution Michigan is to pave the path toward a better, more sustainable future,” said Val Gent, communications manager of LGES Michigan. “93% of Habitat homeowners say they feel better about their children’s futures. This proves giving the gift of homeownership is truly life-changing.”
