From Long-Term Investment to Regional Leadership: LG Energy Solution’s Growing Role in Wroclaw

  • For decades, LG Energy Solution has invested in Wroclaw’s transformation into a key European industrial and e-mobility hub.
  • Recent rankings and surveys recognize the company for helping shape the identity and economy of Lower Silesia.

Wroclaw is regarded as one of Poland’s most livable cities—and for good reason. Research by the City Brand Department found that 87% of Poles living outside Wroclaw perceive it as a pleasant place to live. A dynamic business environment, growing investment opportunities, and a strong talent ecosystem continue to draw professionals and students to the banks of the Oder River in search of meaningful careers and long-term growth.

LG Energy Solution has been part of that journey for decades. The company’s Polish roots trace back to the late 1990s, when LG Corp began expanding its European footprint. LG Energy Solution has built a lasting legacy in Lower Silesia, epitomized by the construction of Europe’s largest EV battery production plant.

Today, its deep ties with the region have been recognized: in 2025, the company was named a leader in the Lower Silesian Golden Hundred ranking and also cited as the second most influential company according to a recent City Brand Department survey—an acknowledgment of its invaluable contribution to the local economy and community.

At the final gala of the third edition of the Lower Silesian Golden Hundred, held on November 26 in Wroclaw, the company placed second in net sales revenue for 2024.

This recognition underscores LG Energy Solution Wroclaw’s steady growth and its key role in driving the region’s fast-evolving e-mobility ecosystem. It also reflects the company’s long-term commitment to Lower Silesia, where it continues to invest, expand, and contribute to the local economy.

“Our place on the podium is a meaningful validation of our growth trajectory, strategic direction and vital role in Europe’s e-mobility transition,” said Yong Girl Lee, Director of the External Relations Department at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. “This recognition belongs entirely to our employees, whose dedication and expertise drive success every day.”

Together, the regional magazine Gazeta Wroclawska, Dun and Bradstreet—a leading global business analytics company—and a recent City Brand Department survey backed Wroclaw’s reputation as a city of opportunity. In the October survey, LG Energy Solution ranked second among the institutions most closely associated with Wroclaw following Google, and replacing brands such as Nokia and the local professional basketball team, Slask Wroclaw.

The survey also highlighted Wroclaw’s strong appeal as a place to build a career. Among 560 respondents, 97% said the city offers good job opportunities, with 26% responding “definitely yes.” Many respondents also said Wroclaw provides greater opportunities for professional development and more attractive job prospects than other Polish cities.

This shared success was made possible by the tireless efforts of its loyal partners and talented employees, whose collaboration and dedication are unmatched. LG Energy Solution is proud to continue to shape the future of sustainable energy alongside its people—right here in the heart of Lower Silesia.
