On June 24, the inaugural episode of the “Wielka Chmura Zmian” podcast series in co-production with LG Energy Solution Wroclaw aired on Radio TOK FM with Marcin Stasko, leader of the DX part at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. In this debut episode, Stasko engaged in a fascinating discussion with host Jurga on key aspects of cloud computing, including the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on future business and technology as well as its role in modern production processes.

An immensely skilled leader with extensive experience in digital innovation, particularly smart factories, Marcin Stasko has helped Wroclaw plant save over USD 30 million annually since 2020. Fearless in the face of new challenges, his goal is to consistently drive progress while achieving new levels of efficiency through the most effective problem solving.

In the second episode, released on July 8, the podcast had the pleasure of hosting Lucja Calus, a senior specialist working in the DX part of LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, to discuss the fascinating topic: “AI learns at lightning speed. In which areas does it perform best?”

Calus emphasized how AI models learn by processing historical data, extracting patterns, and performing predictions based on those patterns. She also underscored the critical role of meticulous data preparation in removing unnecessary elements and ensuring a consistent background. This meticulous approach, she explained, is essential to optimizing the model’s prediction accuracy and preventing it from learning incorrect associations.

To create AI, she said that people need extensive statistical and mathematical knowledge and skills, not just technical ones. When working with large language models (LLMs), the creator must know what the queried model should ‘say’ and ‘not say,’ because it might not meet societal acceptance. To become a specialist in her field, she learned far beyond what she was taught about IT through each project she worked on at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, which boasts technological leadership.

She also described ‘dark data’ as a somewhat mysterious and even intimidating concept that few people discuss, yet it applies to every organization. This is information collected by companies that remains unused and often unknown but could potentially be leveraged to generate substantial benefits. For instance, she illustrated how in a factory environment, using data from sensors can help build models that predict potential equipment failures.

In the next episodes, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw employees will share what they’re producing at the nearby plant, how they utilize new technologies, and the achievements they’ve made through digital technology. They will also touch on what it’s like to work for a Korean company in Poland and try to find common ground between the two distinctive cultures.

LG Energy Solution’s TOK FM collaboration exemplifies its commitment to employing industry experts. “I encourage listeners to tune in to the podcast to hear our employees discuss various important topics,” said Klaudia Piatek, spokesperson for LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. “In the first episode, Marcin Stasko talked about AI and its countless industry applications. In upcoming episodes, listeners can expect to learn all about the differences between Korean and Polish work cultures.”

LG Energy Solution Wroclaw is committed to educating the public on topics often perceived as inaccessible fields of science and technology while establishing a strong market presence and highlighting technology leadership through various media initiatives such as conferences, publications, and events like the “We Charge the Future” Press Breakfast.

This new podcast partnership is a significant step in connecting with its consumers in ways that appeal to them, showing audiences how LG Energy Solution Wroclaw is composed of some of the most outstanding industry experts not just in Poland, but across all of Europe and the wider world.
