- Company unveils next-generation ESS technologies and products in Las Vegas from September 8 to 11.
- Highlighting a stable North American value chain under the theme “One stop ESS solutions”
- Presenting pouch-type LFP batteries and industry-first prismatic LFP battery prototypes to be made in North America
LG Energy Solution today announced it is presenting its latest breakthrough products at “RE+ 2025,” the renewable energy industry’s global trade fair taking place September 8 to 11 at the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.
Under the theme “One stop ESS solutions – Engineered, Delivered, Serviced for the North American Market,” LG Energy Solution is emphasizing its unique position as the only battery company that boasts an entire value chain in North America. By leveraging a stable North American production base, a roadmap of next-generation products, and data-driven digital services, the company is now fully equipped to tailor its solutions to local customers.
At this year’s exhibition, LG Energy Solution is presenting its latest innovations in four distinctive zones: Grid-Scale Batteries, One Stop ESS Solutions, AIDC (AI Data Center)/UPS, and Home Batteries.
In the Grid-Scale Batteries Zone, the company is exhibiting the JF2 AC/DC LINK system, tailored for the North American market and launched into production earlier this year. Powered by highly efficient, safe LFP batteries, this advanced system stores up to 5.1MWh of energy. It also offers flexibility by letting customers choose their preferred output type (AC or DC).
The JF2 AC/DC LINK also features LG Energy Solution’s proprietary safety-reinforced pack and system design, meeting all stringent North American certifications related to thermal runaway suppression, including UL9540A-LSFP. Fully manufactured and supplied within North America — from cells to packs to systems — the company’s U.S. made production network secures a stable supply for North American customers in a rapidly changing global environment, while also enabling them to benefit from IRA tax incentives.
LG Energy Solution is also presenting its LFP battery cell prototypes based on the prismatic form factor, the first of its kind to be produced in North America. In addition, the company is unveiling its JF2 and JF3 battery cell and pack products made from pouch-type LFP batteries with an ultra-high energy of over 500Wh. These breakthrough solutions form part of a roadmap of next-generation cell and pack products based on both prismatic and pouch form factors.
One Stop ESS Solutions Zone demonstrates LG Energy Solution’s long-standing expertise and stable business structure in the region. Together with its U.S. division, LG Energy Solution Vertech, the company delivers one-stop services under the principle of “One contact, One contract,” which covers contracts, installation, and operation — including required software such as AEROS™ — to help customers maximize the efficiency of their investments.
In the AIDC/UPS Zone, LG Energy Solution is debuting its “Next Generation UPS Battery,” a high-output next-generation LFP UPS battery model designed to meet increasing demand from AI data centers. It delivers up to 527kW of power per cabinet for five minutes, more than double the output of existing products. It also halves the number of cabinets required for a 1MW UPS system, enhancing space efficiency, cost efficiency, and overall performance.
Aligning with AI data centers’ irregular power use and shorter backup time requirements, this cutting-edge solution supports high-output performance up to 20C (C-rate, discharge rate), ensuring reliable operation across diverse data center environments.
In the Home Batteries Zone, LG Energy Solution is presenting the B2B-exclusive “JF2S Home Battery Module,” powered by U.S.-made LFP batteries. With a capacity of 15.9kWh, each module can meet the daily energy needs of a North American household. Measuring just 5.6 inches thick, its space-saving design allows flexible installation in garages, basements, or even wall-mounting, maximizing usable space in the home.
“At RE+ 2025, LG Energy Solution is introducing North America’s first locally produced LFP production system,” said Hyung Kim, Head of LG Energy Solution’s ESS Battery Division. “Going forward, we will continue to pursue industry firsts in North America, based on our competitive edge in various form factors such as pouch and prismatic.”
