LG Energy Solution has embraced the festive spirit with the undertaking of several events and activities for its employees. Last month, LG Energy Solution offices worldwide have worked hard to provide opportunities for employees to connect, have fun, and celebrate the holiday season with the people they interact with practically every day. From creative competitions to festive games and themed days, a wide array of enthralling activities made sure that everyone could join in unforgettable Christmas celebrations.

1) Christmas Competition Marathon

One way LG Energy Solution Wroclaw has embraced the holiday spirit is with a series of festivities designed to spread joy and strengthen the workforce’s sense of community. The celebrations began with the Christmas Competition Marathon: three enticing contests that allowed staff members to show off their creative side and unique sense of humor.

The first event, Cringe Chronicles: Christmas Edition, invited employees to share their funniest Christmas mishaps. Whether it’s about a fallen Christmas tree, burnt gingerbread man cookies or a gift mix-up, every employee was encouraged to pitch their own personal festive nightmares. The top 10 entries received 250 points on the company’s Benefit Platform, which can be redeemed for various employee benefits.

For the company’s creative types, the Christmas Meme Competition called for the most humorous and lighthearted Christmas memes – no graphic design skills required, just a unique idea and a festive spirit would do. The most popular 10 memes also received 250 benefit points.

A special contest was also held for the youngest members of the LG Energy Solution Wroclaw family. The Christmas Tree Ornament Contest invited the employees’ kids to create unique Christmas decorations – baubles, wreaths, stars, you name it – for the chance to win vouchers for SMYK, a children’s store in Poland, just in time for their holiday shopping spree.

From December 4 to 18, these three activities brought laughter, creativity, and holiday cheer to the LG Energy Solution Wroclaw grounds, fostering a warm, festive atmosphere to cap off this great year in the perfect way.

2) Sweater Day

In addition to competitions, employees were asked to wear their funniest, ugliest, or most outrageous sweaters on Sweater Day, in celebration of St. Nicholas’ Day (December 6). This event provided a fun, lighthearted break from the usual work attire, and maybe even marked the birth of a much-loved tradition at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw.

3) Christmas Wheel of Fortune

But the fun didn’t stop there, as the Christmas Wheel of Fortune made its way across the company’s expansive facility from December 9 to 17. These involved employees spinning the wheel to answer Christmas-themed questions and win delightful winter prizes, including blankets, ornaments, and car accessories. To capture these moments on camera, photo booths were set up for employees to take pictures with colleagues in their festive costumes.

1) Toys for Tots

In Michigan, the festive atmosphere could be seen in equal measure. For example, LG Energy Solution Michigan committed to fostering a sense of community by connecting to its employees and the local area on a deeper, more personal level. One of these initiatives was “Toys for Tots,” a charitable program that aims to collect and distribute new toys to children from underprivileged local families during the holiday season.

LG Energy Solution Michigan oversaw the collection of toys for children aged 9-12 this time, which were given to numerous local families in need. In 2023, thanks in large part to the generosity of employees, over 130 toys were donated. The company expects to surpass that number this time, targeting at least 150 toys for children who must be reminded that Christmas is for everyone, especially them.

2) Holiday Decorations

To get its people even more into the holiday spirit, employees were invited to decorate their desks or workspaces from December 9 to 23. Those without a traditional desk were given full reign to decorate the office’s cubbies, lockers, and shared areas, ensuring no employee was left behind when it comes to spreading festive cheer and joy.

LG Energy Solution believes the holiday season should be a time of great joy and unity that enables people to create special memories that last a lifetime. In this spirit, the company is organizing various events to maximize the festive spirit, for an even more memorable season for all. Employees are encouraged to take part in these activities, immerse themselves in the holiday atmosphere, and contribute to making the Christmas season truly a special one.
