LG Energy Solution deeply respects the creativity and autonomy of its employees, recognizing their efforts and skills through various performance-based rewards. To enhance the well-being of employees, diverse initiatives have been planned and implemented to foster a more pleasant organizational culture, inject positivity into the work space and engage them every day.
For example, in the span of just a few weeks, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw hosted Innovation Day and World Day for Safety and Health at Work to drive the importance of creativity, innovation, and workplace safety.
LG Energy Solution Wroclaw’s inaugural Innovation Day was celebrated on April 18, showcasing the best innovative projects in 2024 so far, as well as insightful presentations and fun quizzes.
Innovation Day, the brainchild of a collaboration between the Manufacturing Innovation and Innovation teams at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, aims to shape a culture of teamwork, cooperation, and innovation by creating a platform to exchange ideas and network.
During the gala, ten individuals were awarded across three categories – Innovation Project, Shop Floor Improvement, and Pro-Ensolers. Notably, among this year’s recipients were two former Best Employee Award winners, who were awarded the title of Pro-Ensoler, which recognizes LG Energy Solution’s most outstanding employees, after being nominated by their respective teams for their proactive attitude and readiness to implement new ideas.
“In the electromobility industry, our role as a supplier is to be a pioneering force,” said Jangha Lee, president of LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, during his speech. “Our task is to meet demand, and the key to achieving this is innovation, both technological and operational.” He also emphasized the importance of Innovation Day and expressed his gratitude for the creative projects presented by its dedicated employees, especially LG Energy Solution Wroclaw’s production staff for playing a leading role in innovation.
“We are delighted with today’s turnout and encourage all our employees to submit their innovative projects so that they can also be recognized on the Innovation Day in the coming years,” said Monika Gollnik, Manufacturing Innovation Part’s leader, spearheading the awards gala. “We hope Innovation Day becomes a regular event on the LG Energy Solution calendar and continues to inspire positive change within our company.”
Not only that, but LG Energy Solution has planned another significant event in April. It has combined Tree Planting Day in Korea, a tradition ingrained in cultural and ecological significance, with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, celebrated on April 28, into a single event.
Understanding that safety begins with nurturing the land, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw initiated a tree-planting campaign within its factory grounds to promote a safer environment with sustainable practices. Additionally, LG Energy Solution’s employees were rewarded with plants and trees for their contributions to its electronic waste recycling efforts, further reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship.
On April 25, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw organized lectures on existing and emerging hazards, promoting a safety-conscious culture, and sharing the latest findings in occupational health and safety. Recognizing the paramount importance of employee well-being, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw prioritizes ongoing training and awareness initiatives to ensure readiness for any scenarios.
At the LG Energy Solution Wroclaw invitation, experts gathered to share their insights. General Roman Polko, retired Polish Army Special Forces officer, gave a presentation entitled “Safer Together,” while Joanna Baranowska, an author of the blog Organiczni.eu, known for her work on composting and responsible consumption, shared her expertise. Also, representatives from the Polish Environmental Education Center, called Hydropolis, also spoke about the challenges of environmental sustainability and the importance of drinking tap water during the event.
