LG Energy Solution Wroclaw and Wroclaw University of Economics Sign Strategic Collaboration to Empower the Talent of Tomorrow

LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, one of Poland’s largest employers, has signed an agreement with Wroclaw University of Economics (WUE) to collaborate on educational development, innovation, and commercial initiatives aimed at reinforcing the skills of students and faculty members.

This joining of forces serves to deepen the connection between academia and the industry by carrying out joint efforts on curricula, learning environments for the practical application of knowledge, lectures, and research projects.

“This agreement marks a significant step toward building lasting ties between the fields of science and business, which will contribute to the economic and social development of Lower Silesia in time. We have great confidence in Polish specialists and engineers, whose dedication and expertise have already driven the successful implementation of our technology in Wroclaw,” said Jangha Lee, President of LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. “I am excited to see what this partnership with the WUE will bring to both sides.”

This partnership will focus on supporting the academic and professional development of students and faculty members while fostering greater innovation. As part of this collaboration, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw will work closely with the prestigious university to co-create educational programs that give graduates skills that align with the labor market’s constantly evolving demands.

Doctoral candidates and academics at WUE will gain access to skill-enhancing courses, internships and apprenticeships organized by LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, hands-on industry experience needed to gain a more complete understanding of their field. LG Energy Solution Wroclaw employees will also teach classes, sharing their invaluable practical knowledge and expertise.

Both parties will also engage in joint R&D projects to innovate solutions for the technology and business sectors. This partnership promises the formation of scientific consortia to drive innovation in areas of mutual interest, further promoting new ideas and solutions through collaboration.

“This unique opportunity to work with a world-class innovator will bring the worlds of academia and business closer together,” said Professor Czeslaw Zajac, Ph.D., Director of WUE. “This coming together will not only expand our work with LG Energy Solution Wroclaw but also extend its scope, making the university more equipped to meet the demands of the business world.”

He also added, “LG Energy Solution will gain access to exceptional graduates possessing skills and competencies that align with its aspirations to become a leading force in the EV battery sector and beyond. With our strong emphasis on education and LG Energy Solution’s devotion to innovation, this collaboration couldn’t come at a more perfect time for both parties.”

I am confident this partnership will offer students various opportunities to develop their skills across various fields while learning all about our organization’s internal processes and corporate culture,” emphasized Piotr Blachura, Director of Human Resources at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. “This experience will undoubtedly be an asset as they enter the job market, giving them a clearer understanding of employer expectations.”
