- LG Energy Solution Wroclaw co-hosted Korean Culture Day at Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU), showcasing Korea’s cultural heritage to students and the local community.
- The event reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic partnerships and support growing interest in Korean language and culture in Poland.
Reflecting the growing interest in Korean culture across Poland, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw and the Korean Studies community at Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU) co-hosted Korean Culture Day on April 23, 2026. The event brought together students, faculty, industry representatives, and the local community, highlighting the enduring partnership between the company and one of its closest academic collaborators in the country.

Attendees gathered in the university’s auditorium to experience Korean culture through a variety of student performances, from Samulnori — a Korean percussion genre rooted in folk music — and traditional dance to modern acts inspired by K-pop and trot. The diverse program offered a broad perspective on Korea’s cultural heritage and its expanding global influence.

“We strongly believe that universities are spaces where innovation is born, where dialogue flourishes, and where lasting relationships are built,” said Professor Michal Banaszak, Vice-Rector for Digital Affairs and Economic Cooperation at the School of Science at AMU. “This evening is not only a celebration of Korean culture, but also an opportunity to deepen the ties between Korea and Poland.”
Since 2018, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw and AMU have worked together under a Framework Cooperation Agreement spanning research, development, and educational activities, including paid internships at the company’s facility near Wroclaw. Korean Culture Day reflects the growth of this collaboration, which continues to support cultural exchange, student development, and opportunities for Korean Studies graduates to connect with industry.
The impact can be seen across the academic community. Korean Studies is now one of AMU’s most sought-after programs, attracting more than twelve applicants for each available place. This strong interest points to the growing role of Korean industry in Poland and its influence on the educational choices of younger generations.
AMU’s Korean Studies program has become an important pathway for Korean-Polish translators at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. Many graduates first got to know the company in Poznan through internships, guest lectures, or previous editions of Korean Culture Day.
“When operating in an international environment like LG Energy Solution, Korean language ability, cultural awareness, and intercultural communication are extremely important,” said Agnieszka Szamborska, Translation Part Manager at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. “These specialized skills play a significant role in day-to-day collaboration between Polish and Korean employees.”
“For us, the cooperation with the Korean Studies department in Poznan is an opportunity to support students in their development, as well as a chance to get to know future specialists and potential members of our team,” said Szamborska.

Korean Culture Day is one of several touchpoints LG Energy Solution Wroclaw’s Translation Part maintains with local universities throughout the year. “We also run an internship program and regularly deliver guest lectures for students, introducing them to the practical dimension of working as a translator in a corporate setting,” said Agnieszka Zagorska, translator and co-organizer of language workshops at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw.
For LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, cooperation with universities is an integral part of long-term talent development and industry-academia growth. Initiatives include Korean Culture Day, the #ChargeTheFuture internship, the Korean Language Internship, guest lectures, and language workshops delivered by the Translation Part team. LG Energy Solution Wroclaw remains committed to fostering cultural exchange and building closer connections between education and industry.
