From mid-July through September, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw is running the fourth edition of #ChargeTheFuture, its annual paid internship program. How LG Energy Solution Wroclaw Builds Battery Skills Through Hands-On Experience

LG Energy Solution Wroclaw’s annual #ChargeTheFuture internship program gives students in the Wroclaw region structured learning and hands-on experience across its battery operations. It begins with a two-day onboarding process and a guided production-line tour, which introduces interns to the company and the full battery manufacturing process.

The 32 participants gain experience in both manufacturing and supporting functions through assignments in five areas: Electrode, Cell, Module, Quality Assurance (QA) and Customer Management Quality (CMQ), and Staff. Each intern follows an individual internship plan developed with their area manager, which can be adjusted to match the intern’s interests and development goals.

“For many of our interns, this is their first encounter not only with professional duties but also with the work environment,” said Piotr Blachura, HR Director at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, highlighting the program’s role in introducing interns to professional workplace settings.

Role-specific assignments and broader exposure to battery production help interns understand how functions connect across the manufacturing process. They also build the technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and cross-functional awareness needed in battery operations.

How #ChargeTheFuture Builds Practical Skills for Modern Battery Operations

In addition to their daily tasks, #ChargeTheFuture offers training to strengthen practical skills. In the fourth edition, participants attend three sessions during working hours: Power BI for data analysis and visualization, charismatic communication for interpersonal skills in the workplace, and the Eight Disciplines (8D) method for structured problem-solving.

“We proposed additional training topics specifically for our interns with the skills they may use in their future careers in mind,” said Katarzyna Kiec, Senior Recruitment Specialist at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw.

Interns can also join the Energy of Tomorrow project, in which they explore one of two themes: “How do I see the future of electromobility?” or “My idea for more efficient use of energy.” Participants can present their ideas through videos, graphics, presentations, or AI-assisted content. The winning projects will be showcased at the program’s closing event in September.

“We don’t limit the creativity of our interns; we rely on their ingenuity in implementing projects and engaging presentation of their concepts,” said Patrycja Roslonska, Senior HR Specialist at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw.

A total of 123 students completed the first three editions of #ChargeTheFuture, and 32 interns are taking part in the current fourth edition. Each year, the program is refined based on participant feedback, evolving the initiative as an ongoing talent development pipeline. For some former interns, the experience has also created a longer-term connection with LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, whether through returning after graduation or applying for new opportunities with the company. “We sometimes receive job applications where our internship is listed in the ‘experience’ section, which always catches our attention and makes us happy,” said Roslonska.

LG Energy Solution Wroclaw collaborates with universities through technical workshops, guest lectures, student research, facility visits, job fairs, and other partnerships. These relationships complement #ChargeTheFuture, which is open to students from all universities and currently includes participants from partner institutions such as Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw University of Economics, and WSB Merito University. By giving students industry exposure, these efforts support professional readiness and help develop future talent for battery, mobility, and energy-related roles.
