LG Energy Solution Wroclaw took part in the Academic Job Fair held at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology on March 10 and 11. Students and graduates, including many young engineers interested in batteries and electromobility, visited the company’s booth to learn about professional development opportunities, production technologies, and the day-to-day experience of working at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw.

The event combined recruitment discussions with broader conversations on workforce expectations and the evolving labor market, while a short interactive quiz with company gadgets as rewards added an engaging element.

“These are rapidly changing times, and the job market is keeping pace,” said Katarzyna Slawinska-Oleszek, Head of the Career Office at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. “What young professionals expect from work — and what employers are looking for — is shifting in parallel. Students want to step into their first roles quickly, but they also want to be prepared with the skills needed to succeed in their roles.”

Industry experts predict that technological changes and demographic shifts will continue shaping the labor market in the years ahead. In particular, an aging population and a declining number of working-age people are expected to intensify competition for skilled talent.

“Ongoing investment in hiring and employee development remains essential, and our HR teams at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw continue building training systems to strengthen employee competencies,” said Piotr Blachura, Director of the Human Resources Department at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, emphasizing the growing need for specialists with expertise in chemistry, materials technology, and process automation.

In response to labor market trends, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw is adapting its talent strategy to reflect changing workforce expectations and the company’s need for skilled specialists. Feedback from attendees at the Academic Job Fair offered direct insight into young professionals’ job priorities, helping the company engage more effectively with potential future employees.

In addition to meeting students at the Academic Job Fair, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw is sharing its industry expertise through direct classroom engagement. As part of its ongoing partnership with WUE, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw hosted a new series of guest lectures led by two of its experts — Kamila Gosciniak-Wronkowska, Manager of the Module Line Improvement Department, on April 2, and Radoslaw Friedrich, Logistics Manager, on March 20.

The two employees shared how complex manufacturing processes support stable production at one of Europe’s largest battery facilities. The session gave students practical insight into real-world operational challenges and decision-making in the battery industry.

“Students are eager for this kind of practical perspective — not just pure theory, but real examples of the challenges we faced and how we solved them,” said Gosciniak-Wronkowska. “That’s what teaches students how to truly think.”

LG Energy Solution Wroclaw’s recent industry-academia efforts join a growing portfolio of partnerships that the company has built over the years. These collaborations have taken many forms, including strategic cooperation agreements, investment in hands-on learning facilities, guest lectures and joint workshops, support for outstanding student research, and recognition for sustained academic engagement.

Looking ahead, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw sees its collaboration with universities and technical schools as an important part of preparing future talent for the battery industry. As the battery sector continues to evolve, the company remains dedicated to fostering innovation through education and contributing to a vibrant innovation ecosystem across Lower Silesia and Poland’s broader academic community.
